Posh Tots Resale offers great incentives for volunteers – and a wide variety of times for moms to participate! You can choose to consign and volunteer, or you can volunteer without bringing in a single item to sell.
Volunteers shop before the public or even consignors! A small investment of your time gets you in to shop early during the volunteer presale. Are you a really competitive shopper? You will get first dibs on the widest selection! Plus, consignors who sign-up and work two volunteering shifts will earn 10% more of their sales.
What’s Involved in Volunteering?
As a worker you will be helping to check in products, arrange products on the sales floor, sort clothing, tag merchandise and general help with shoppers during sale hours. It's not hard work but may involve some light lifting. Plus you get to meet people, make a new friend or two, and, of course, have fun in the process.
Rules for Volunteering:
- You need to work at least one 4 hour shift
- Anyone can volunteer—moms, dads, grandparents, friends...and you DO NOT have to be a seller to volunteer
- To ensure their safety, children are not allowed on site during your volunteer shift as it can get pretty hectic preparing for the sale (nursing infants are allowed in an infant carrier)
- You need to sign up to be a volunteer by October 20th, 2008 for our Fall/Winter Sale
- You will NOT be allowed to check your items in during your volunteer shift. If you are a consignor and volunteer during drop off times, please arrive 1/2 hour early or stay 1/2 hour late to check your items in.
All volunteers will receive a pass to attend the presale—this pass cannot be transferred to anybody else. Our pass will be good for you and your spouse, friend, or you and one grandparent.
Post Flyers:
Can't volunteer during the sale? We need people to post flyers. Please inquire within for our current needs. For this wonderful service you will earn a presale pass. Here's how it works:
- Print and post 10 or more flyers in local businesses and send us the business names and addresses.
- Hang flyers on mailboxes (not inside - it's against the law!) or on doors in your subdivision. Check with us first to make sure this area wasn't already canvased. You MUST let us know when you plan to do this so that we can follow up with you.
- Hang your flyers in kid oriented places such as daycares, play places, pre-schools, women's excersizing facilities, etc. Flyers must be hung before you leave the store (many shop owners will tell you they will hang them and then never do).
Volunteers are extremely important for us to be able to give back as much as we can. Therefore, if you are unable to make your shift please find someone that can work your shift in your place. If you have an emergency and are not able to find a replacement please call Janice at (630)659-6405 ASAP. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO WORK YOUR ASSIGNED SHIFT AND DON'T FIND A REPLACEMENT OR CALL YOU WILL BE INELIGBLE TO CONSIGN OR VOLUNTEER WITH US IN OUR FUTURE SALES.
